Sidewalk Paint

This is a fun activity to to with the children! I found this on Pinterest. It is fun like sidewalk chalk but without the worry of the chalk breaking or being melted away if it is left outside. This paint does wash off in the rain or you can hose it off and it will come off of clothing. It is also non toxic.

What you will need

1 cup of Corn Starch
1 cup of water
Food coloring
 Metal Muffin Tin
Paint brushes

Step 1

Spoon Corn Starch into muffin tin. (I tried mixing the whole cup of corn starch in the water and it was too soupy, so I just spooned the corn starch into the muffin tin)

Step 2

Add water to the muffin tin. (about 1/2 or 1/3 of the way full. I didn't use the whole cup of water)

Step 3

Mix well so there is no dry corn starch left. But make sure that the mixture is goopy like paint

Step 4

Add food coloring  and stir until blended.

Step 5

Go outside and paint on the driveway or sidewalk!

                                           Our Paint

My niece painted several lines. You can't make big portraits
like you can with sidewalk chalk but I don't think that
toddlers and preschoolers care that much

I did manage to paint my name!

Note: you can buy paintbrushes at Micheals Arts & Crafts Store for $2.19

Have fun!!!!!
